A gift or a present as is popularly know is a free giving of something to a person without expecting a reward, although sometimes a reciprocal is expected, but gift has to be always free and without any tags.
Admittedly gift makes the receiver happy or less sad and on certain occasions, and in so many ways it is a gesture that the giver wishes to mend the relations. The act of gift can do several things that otherwise words may fail to do.
In all the cultures gift giving is a prevalent custom, usually gift is wrapped in red paper symbolizing the wishes for good luck.
There are variety of things that gift can be, flowers, confectioneries, or valuables or simply a card.
There are wedding gifts, birthday gifts or business gifts or educational gifts.There is also a way of giving gift to the person who has everything. In such cases, a donation can be given to certain charity or orphanage and that the charity may be instructed to pass the message to that person that they have a gift awarded on his behalf for certain purpose.
