RAF GUNNERS WHO JUMPED OFF PLANE REUNITED AFTER 64 YEARS.


WORLD WAR II AIR GUNNERS LESLI FAIRCLOTH AND DOUGIE JORDIN SHOOK HADS AND PARACHUTED OUT OF THEIR STRICKEN RAF BOMBER ON JUNE 27, 1944 . EACH ASSUMED THE OTHER HAD BEEN KILLED.

As they stood looking into the pitch black sky over enemy territory, World War II air gunners, Leslie Faircloth and Dougie Jordin shook hands and parachuted out of their stricken RAF bomber. each assumed the othe had been kiled trying to escape back to Britain and neither man expected to see his comrade again. bust astonishingly--years after rthey last laid eyes on one another--Faircloth and Jordin have been reunited.
while researching his father's war service, Faircloth's sonPaul, 53 , managed to track down Jordin and organize a meeting.
The pair, who were both air gunner, and five other crew were returning from a midnight bombing mission when two of the plane's engines started overheating and failing.
